Total White

Pilkelab, 2018

Pilkelab is a space that blends creativity, architecture, design, graphics, and marketing; the materials it uses are an integral part of its philosophy.

The surfaces used throughout the project originate from a design by Patricia Urquiola for Mutina. The subtle bas-reliefs that run delicately across them are not mere decorations—but traces of torn memories.

Total white. Designing a room using only one color might seem daring, but white has a transformative effect on brightness—it reflects natural light and expands the perception of space.

In photographing this space, I focused on how light and space are amplified by white.
I wanted to create an environment shaped by lines—sometimes lost in the absence of color, sometimes forming volume even without shadow.
