Convivio at Fuorisalone

ESPI.Design, 2018

Fuorisalone is the series of events that takes place across Milan during the Salone del Mobile. Together, they form Milan Design Week each spring.

First born in the early 1980s from the world of furniture and industrial design, Fuorisalone has expanded to include related fields like technology, telecommunications, art, fashion, and food.

Often referred to as “the Italian Brooklyn,” the Lambrate district—known for its innovation, freshness, and quality—has become one of Design Week’s most important and successful areas.
These photographs document the exhibition of an original collection of handcrafted marble objects designed by Paola Speranza (ESPIdesign) for DesignCircus, an event dedicated to promoting high-quality self-production.
Also featured in the exhibition: the “FLY Table,” designed by Donato Nappo in collaboration with ESPIdesign, and the “Female PS Collection,” a series of marble and glass pieces presented together with Sara Zanoni (Bardelli Vetri Artistici).

To prepare for the event, I also created a set of studio still life photographs to represent the collection.
