“A linguistic and cultural chaos is nothing more than a necessary transition toward a natural peace.”
An intercultural art project lasting 23 days, held in Berlin, and focused on linguistic confusion, the myth of the Tower of Babel, and the concept of Europe.
During the project, I had the opportunity to collaborate with artists and professionals from Greece, Germany, and Italy—each developing their own original work.
My contribution was a video piece, reinterpreting the proposed themes from a personal perspective.
The theme of linguistic confusion is closely tied to culture—it’s what defines us as human beings.
It represents our ongoing attempt to control a chaos of our own making—a chaos that, in the end, returns to nature, where it finds peace and silence.
In my video, faces placed in diverse environments are accompanied by fragmented, disordered audio.
This audiovisual confusion isn’t final—it’s a moment of transition toward a more natural state of peace.
All the works created during the project were presented in a group exhibition curated by Andrea Conrad, held in Thessaloniki, Greece, in May 2018.
